I had always heard that everyone has one god given talent. Until August 2008 I did not have a clue what my one talent was. My desktop wall paper was this picture which is Leonardo DaVinci's "Study of the Skull." Everyday while I was on the phone I would sketch a little of it. after about a week, the above was the result. I was amazed, and curious if it was just a fluke. So I ran to the second hand book store to find a book on drawing, and the good lord blessed me again, because the first book I bought and read was "Drawing with the right side of your brain." and within a couple of days started doing portraits, and here I am three months later drawing like an obsessed mad man. I know that these drawings need a lot of work to make them great, but I enjoy losing myself within the people. It is funny what 20 years of drinking can hide, and the gifts 5 years of sobriety can uncover.
